SICILY. Segesta. Circa 440/35-420/16 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 8.28 g, 1 h). The river-god Krimisos, in the form of a hunting dog, standing left, on the scent. Rev. Head of the nymph Aigeste to right, wearing a pendant earring and with her hair bound up at the back and tied in a broad band over her forehead. Hurter 113l (this coin, V35/R62). SNG ANS 624 (same dies). SNG München 851 (same dies). Nicely toned. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with minor porosity and light marks, otherwise, good fine.
